DESCRIPTION: On the 1st May\, we are holding an event at our premises in Valletta to celebrate Workers’ Day and remember the past and current struggles of workers in an exploitative system. \n We will be screening the Fernando León de Aranoa film ‘The Good Boss’ (El Buen Patrón – 2021) about a charismatic and manipulative factory owner in a Spanish town meddling in the lives of his employees in an attempt to win an award for business excellence. DESCRIPTION: Wednesday the 17th of May is the international day against homophobia\, transphobia and biphobia – IDAHOBIT. This is the day when we celebrate gender and sexual diversity. It is also the day when we remember that although in an increasing number of countries\, the LGBTIQ+ community is enjoying more rights\, millions in different parts of the world\, still experience discrimination\, stigma\, violence and abuse\, imprisonment\, and even death. \n On this day we are meeting at Maori\, Triq il-Lanċa\, Valletta to raise awareness about these issues as well as to have some fun. There will be quizzes\, games\, music and dance in a safe space from 6.30 pm onwards.

Groups can include non-governmental organisations as well as residents\, students\, workers and farmers: all non-partisan groups whose aims are in line with the demands of the protest are invited to join. \n We are living a state of emergency. The quality of life and the natural environment of our islands are deteriorating rapidly due to a frenzy of reckless building everywhere. We are in this mess for one clear reason.
