SUMMARY:Studenti MG at KSU Freshers' Week 2020
DESCRIPTION:Studenti MG will be present at ‘The KSU Virtual Freshers’ Week 2020’ on Tuesday 20 October between 9am and 3.30pm. \nWe invite you to visit us at our stand if you are interested in joining an organisation which is active in the community in areas such as the environment\, workers’ rights\, national issues\, immigration\, LGBTIQ+ rights\, and more. \nMembers from Moviment Graffitti will be present to explain what the role of this organisation is in the current context – especially with regards to current campaigns such as those on the Miżieb and the agreement between the Government and FKNK\, the construction and planning reform\, SOFA\, the road in Dingli\, the DB group project on the former ITS site\, and the study on the ‘Living Income’ among others. \nWe would like to hear your ideas on the issues or problems you find at University so that Studenti MG can offer a platform for campaigns regarding student issues. \nWe want to raise awareness of issues within and outside of the University and come up with ideas for a fairer society so that we can truly be active students in Maltese society. \nSee you! \n****** \nStudenti MG ħa jkunu preżenti għal ‘The KSU Virtual Freshers’ Week 2020’ nhar it-Tlieta 20 t’Ottubru bejn id-9am u t-3:30pm. \nNistiednukom iżżuruna fuq l-istand tagħna jekk intom interessati li tingħaqdu ma’ għaqda li hija attiva fil-komunità f’oqsma bħalma huma l-ambjent\, drittijiet tal-ħaddiema\, kwistjonijiet nazzjonali\, l-immigrazzjoni u drittijiet tal-persuni LGBTIQ+ u oħrajn. \nMembri tal-Moviment Graffitti se jkunu preżenti sabiex jispjegaw x’inhi l-funzjoni ta’ din l-għaqda fil-kuntest attwali – speċjalment fir-rigward tal-kampanji attwali bħal dawk dwar il-Miżieb u l-kuntratt bejn il-Gvern u l-FKNK\, ir-riforma fil-kostruzzjoni u l-ippjanar\, is-SOFA\, it-triq f’Ħad-Dingli\, il-proġett tad-DB group fuq l-ex sit tal-ITS u l-istudju dwar il-‘Living Income’ fost oħrajn. \nNixtiequ nisimgħu l-ideat tagħkom dwar il-kwistjonijiet jew problemi li ssibu fl-Università sabiex l-iStudenti MG ikunu jistgħu joffru pjattaforma għal kampanji rigward kwistjonijiet studenteski. \nIrridu nqajmu kuxjenza dwar kwistjonijiet ġewwa u lilhinn mill-Università u noħorġu b’ideat għal soċjetà iżjed ġusta sabiex inkunu studenti tassew attivi fis-soċjetà Maltija. \nNarawkom!

SUMMARY:Sit-down protest
DESCRIPTION:Following the behind-closed-doors deal between the Government and the hunting lobby gifting Miżieb and Aħrax to FKNK\, Spazji Miftuħa is organising a sit-down protest with social distancing on Saturday 31st October 2020 at 10am in front of the Office of the Prime Minister in Castille. \nPeople are outraged at what the Government has been doing to Malta’s and Gozo’s natural and cultural heritage. \nThe 60+ NGOs in the coalition are asking their supporters together with all those who value nature\, culture and open spaces\, to join in this peaceful sit-down protest in Valletta. \nYou are being encouraged to bring along placards or signs with your own personal messages.
